House Mice: What You Need to Know

De huismuis is een kleine, grijsbruine muis met een slanke bouw, grote oren en een lange kale staart. Volwassen muizen zijn ongeveer 7 tot 10 cm lang (zonder staart).

House mice are omnivores, but they prefer grains, seeds, bread crumbs and food scraps. They also gnaw on packaging to get to food and may even gnaw on cables or insulation.

They like to stay in warm, sheltered places close to food sources, such as kitchens, pantries, crawl spaces, and between walls or ceilings. A small opening of 0.5 cm is enough to slip in!
